Meet Material Girls Fabrics, MMI, Me, Myself, and I! No, Material Girls Fabrics is not a large corporation or big chain store. Material Girls Fabrics is located in San Angelo, TX., and owned by Kristina Stephens. Material Girls Fabrics is a one owner, small home-based cottage industry. I started this business 7 years ago because the state office that I was employeed was going to close down. My entire career has been working for companies that either moved my jobs to the Dallas, TX., area, filed bankruptcy (third party company), or closed down offices. I became a single mom in 1983 with three children ages, 3, 5, and 7, (ex didn't want to be married anymore, huh!). The children and I moved back to San Angelo, TX., and my great Aunt and Grandmother helped me for a short time until I could get on my feet. God blessed me with a job right away (thank you Judge G.) and we were off as a single family. My children are all grown up now. I am very proud of each of my adult children. They each have their families, good jobs in the oil/gas business, law enforcement, nursing.

Realizing I was created to be at home and not fight the employment world of lay-offs, badgering bosses, and unemployment, I had to create a job. I have vendored quilt shows and have had the on-line shop now for 7 years. Unfortunately, the economy of late does not lend a kind hand to small business individuals. (oh, and I am still single, frogs, no princes!)

I love my country and God has blessed me to live in the Land of the Free and the Brave! The legacy we leave to our children is important because unless we remember from whence we came, we cannot teach the salvation of eternity in Christ Jesus in whom we hope.
